Today I was reminded that God blesses us in unexpected and sometimes small ways to remind us of our larger blessings and our need to rely on Him.
So here is the story...I went to go and see my very good friend Sammi today to catch up and have some girl time. We were talking about how I wanted to start a Bible study with my girls about growing into godly young women and I had been eyeing a book called Polished Cornerstones.
Well the book is a little expensive $48 from Doorposts or $30 on Amazon. So I had been praying about the right timing to buy the book so it wouldn't be a big burden on our budget and as I was telling my friend about the book she said that she had the book. Shut the front door...no way. She had bought the book a looooong time ago and had kept it and now I am blessed to be able to borrow it. God's timing and grace are perfect and sufficient, even for the little things :)
In other news/events for this past week, let's see, Jon is loving his job. He did say he is going through a little withdrawal from time with the kids though. But hopefully, at the end of the school year I will be able to only work part-time and really focus on our home and our family!
I did make some cupcakes and a cake this week. Last Sunday I made Salty Caramel cupcakes which are my mom's favorite. I switched it up a little bit and made it with a caramel buttercream instead of ganache and I thought it was fabulous. My mom however still prefers the ganache. Not a great pic but you get the idea.
My sister-in-law wanted a zombie cake for her birthday and this is what I came up with...
It was an oreo cake with oreo buttercream and ganache filling. The zombie is made out of fondant. The bones were little candies I had left over and I just spray painted them with edible spray. With the left over cake mix and frosting I made cupcakes.
So that is my week so far. Crazy as always.

Verse I am meditating on for this week:
Aww, sweet! I wish I could have met up with you two! My day was too crazy.
